Rann Utsav is Gujarat Tourism's annual festival held at the edge of the Great Rann of Kutch, and the tent city experience is where many visitors stay.
For the 2026–27 season, Adhvanta Hospitality also operates The White Salt Tent City by Adhvanta at Dhordo Cross Road on Khavda Road, near the White Rann. The rates and packages here are specifically for this Adhvanta-operated camp, and should not be confused with tariffs set separately for the official Gujarat Tourism Tent City.
What the Rann Utsav Tent City is
The tent city is a seasonal luxury camp set up every year near Dhordo village in Kutch. Rann Utsav generally runs from November through February, covering the winter festival season and the famous full-moon nights over the white salt desert. Gujarat Tourism organises the festival and sets the season dates; around the official Tent City, private operators run their own camps. The White Salt Tent City by Adhvanta is one such private luxury camp, managed by Adhvanta Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. The location sits roughly 85 km from Bhuj, the nearest major city with a railway station and airport.

The 2 nights / 3 days itinerary adds sunrise at the White Rann, Road to Heaven, Dholavira sightseeing, lunch at Dholavira and Gandhi nu Gaam.

- Premium dates generally cover full-moon nights and the peak holiday block. Economy dates cover shoulder days at the beginning and end of the season, and the rest are regular dates.
- Children below 6 years stay complimentary, without a separate bed or seat.

The 2026–27 season runs from November 2026 to February 2027. The date tier determines whether your stay is priced as Economy, Regular or Premium, so verify your exact travel date and the applicable tariff before booking.

The official Tent City has its own rates and booking arrangements, which should not be confused with the Adhvanta rates shown above.

Getting there
How to reach the Tent City
The tent city is near Dhordo village, Kutch district, Gujarat. There is no railway station or airport at Dhordo itself, so travellers arriving by train or air generally reach Bhuj first and continue by road.
By air
Fly into Bhuj Airport (BHJ), then continue by road to Dhordo — approximately 85 km, normally one and a half to two hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
By train
Bhuj railway station is the nearest major railhead. From there, hire a taxi or use the scheduled AC transfer included with the Adhvanta package — arrival pickup at 10:00 am, departure from the campsite at 9:30 am, or as arranged in advance.
By road
From Ahmedabad, Dhordo is approximately 400 km by road. Self-drive, private vehicles and organised transfers are all common.

How do I make a Rann Utsav tent city booking?
You can book directly on the official Gujarat Tourism website by selecting your preferred tent category, dates and number of guests, paying online. Alternatively, contact an authorised travel agent such as ourselves, who can arrange the booking along with transport if needed.
What is the price of a tent at the tent city?
Prices start at approximately Rs 6,500 per person per night for a Swiss Cottage AC tent on double occupancy with all meals included. Heritage Swiss Cottage tents go up to Rs 22,000 per person per night. Full-moon nights and weekends carry a premium over base rates.
Is food included in the package?
All standard packages include breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner, served at the central dining area inside the tent city. Specific dietary requirements can be communicated at the time of booking or on arrival.
Can I visit Rann Utsav without staying at the tent city?
Yes — you can buy a day visitor pass to attend the festival and access the Rann viewing area. But full-moon nights are best experienced overnight, and day passes do not give access to all cultural events.
What is the best time to book?
Four to six weeks in advance for regular weekday dates. For full-moon nights, weekends and the period around Christmas and New Year, book eight to ten weeks ahead. The festival runs from November to late February, with peak demand between December and January.
