Rann Utsav is the official camp that is hosted at Dhordo Village situated next to White Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Rann Utsav takes place from November to February every year and coincides with the cool winter nights as well as the full moon nights where the white salt flats of Rann shine in their best form. The event is organised by Gujarat Tourism tent city which is located in Dhordo, approximately 80 kilometres away from Bhuj.
Five basic types of tents are available. They include meals, welcome drinks, and entry into the cultural show. The price mentioned below is per person for each night stay on the basis of double sharing and for the year 2024-25 only. Please confirm your tariff before booking.

The Rann Utsav couple packages are one of our best-sellers, and we pair the tent stays with activities that create an entire experience as opposed to a simple accommodation plan.
If you opt for our couple packages, you can be sure to enjoy the candlelight dinner in the tent city, a moonlight tour of the White Rann, and an evening of culture with folk shows. In addition to that, depending on the category of your tents, we could organize a couple spa session as well.
For those wishing to come around the full moon days from December to January, please do book at least two months in advance since this is the period when demand spikes.

The nearest airport is Bhuj Airport with daily flights from Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The nearest railway station is Bhuj with direct trains from Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Peak Season (15 December to 15 January)
This is the busiest and most popular time, especially during full moon weekends. We strongly recommend booking at least 2 to 3 months in advance, as premium tent categories sell out quickly during this period.
Shoulder Season (November to Early December)
A great balance of pleasant weather, better tent availability, and comparatively lower prices in select categories. Nights are cooler and ideal for enjoying the desert atmosphere comfortably.
Late Season (February)
Crowds begin to reduce, prices are usually lower, and guests often have better chances for complimentary tent upgrades. The weather also becomes slightly warmer compared to peak winter weeks.
If possible, we suggest planning your visit on weekdays. Weekend and public holiday departures are typically more expensive and fill up faster across all tent categories.

Transport from Bhuj and sightseeing are included in our tour packages. Flights and trains to Bhuj are not included unless added separately.

Full tour packages including transport and sightseeing from Bhuj start at approximately Rs 14,000 per person for a 2-night stay. Answer: For travel between December 15 and January 15, we recommend booking 60 to 90 days ahead. Full moon weekends in this period sell out earliest. For November or February travel, 30 days is usually sufficient. We advise against waiting for last-minute bookings during peak season as we cannot guarantee tent availability.
