Rann Utsav is the official festival camp set up at Dhordo village on the edge of the White Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Rann Utsav runs from November to February each year, timed to catch the cool desert nights and the full moon period when the white salt flats glow at their best. The festival is managed under the Gujarat Tourism tent city at Dhordo, roughly 80 kilometres from Bhuj.
The entire experience centres on staying inside the tent city, watching the Rann under moonlight, enjoying folk performances, camel rides, and local Kutchi food. You do not need to arrange anything separately if you book a full package.
There are five main tent types. Each comes with meals, welcome drink, and access to the cultural program. Prices below are per person per night on a double occupancy basis and are indicative for the 2024-25 season. Confirm final rates at the time of booking as they vary by date and availability.

Our Rann Utsav couple packages are one of our most popular offerings. We bundle the tent stay with experiences that make the trip feel complete rather than just a hotel booking.
When you book a couple package through us, we include a candlelight dinner at the tent city, a guided moonlight walk on the White Rann, and the cultural evening with folk performances. Depending on the tent category you choose, we can also arrange a couple spa session.
We recommend booking at least 60 days in advance for full moon weekends between December and January. Those dates are the first to fill up and we cannot guarantee availability for last-minute requests during that window.
Beyond the tent city, we offer complete Kutch Rann tour packages that cover the full Kutch region. These are ideal if you are visiting Gujarat for the first time or want to see more than just the Rann.

Rann Utsav runs from early November to late February each year. Here is how we break down the season for our guests.
Peak period: December 15 to January 15, especially full moon weekends. We advise booking 2 to 3 months in advance for this window.
Shoulder period: November and early December. Good tent availability, cooler nights, and slightly lower prices in some categories.
Late season: February. Crowds reduce, prices ease, and you can often get better tent upgrades. Nights are warmer than peak season.
If you have flexibility, we suggest mid-week travel. Weekend and public holiday dates cost more and book faster across all tent categories.
