Rann Utsav is Gujarat Tourism’s annual festival held at the edge of the Great Rann of Kutch, and the official tent city is where most visitors stay. We cover tent categories, current prices, how to book, and what is included so you can plan your trip without guesswork.
The tent city is a temporary luxury camp set up every year near Dhordo village in Kutch, Gujarat. It runs from November through February, covering the full festival season and the famous full-moon nights over the white salt desert.
Gujarat Tourism Authority (GTPL) manages the official tent city. There are also a handful of private camps nearby, but the GTPL tent city is the largest and the one most people refer to when they search for rann utsav booking.
The location sits roughly 85 km from Bhuj, which is the nearest major city with a railway station and airport.
We have listed the four main tent categories below. Prices shown are per person per night on double occupancy and include all meals unless noted otherwise.
Tent Category Table:
| Category | Description | Price Per Person Per Night (Approx.) | Meals Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swiss Cottage AC | Air-conditioned tent, attached bath, basic furnishings | Rs 6,500 – Rs 8,500 | Yes |
| Deluxe Swiss Cottage | Larger AC tent, improved interiors, sitting area | Rs 9,000 – Rs 11,500 | Yes |

| Heritage Swiss Cottage | Traditional design, premium finish, priority location | Rs 18,000 – Rs 22,000 | Yes |
