Opening Paragraph: Rann Utsav is Gujarat Tourism’s annual festival held at the edge of the Great Rann of Kutch, and the official tent city is where most visitors stay. We cover tent categories, current prices, how to book, and what is included so you can plan your trip without guesswork.
The tent city is a temporary luxury camp set up every year near Dhordo village in Kutch, Gujarat. It runs from November through February, covering the full festival season and the famous full-moon nights over the white salt desert.
Gujarat Tourism Authority (GTPL) manages the official tent city. There are also a handful of private camps nearby, but the GTPL tent city is the largest and the one most people refer to when they search for rann utsav booking.
The location sits roughly 85 km from Bhuj, which is the nearest major city with a railway station and airport.
We have listed the four main tent categories below. Prices shown are per person per night on double occupancy and include all meals unless noted otherwise.
Tent Category Table:
| Category | Description | Price Per Person Per Night (Approx.) | Meals Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swiss Cottage AC | Air-conditioned tent, attached bath, basic furnishings | Rs 6,500 – Rs 8,500 | Yes |
| Deluxe Swiss Cottage | Larger AC tent, improved interiors, sitting area | Rs 9,000 – Rs 11,500 | Yes |
| Premium Cottage | Fixed structure cottage with AC and premium decor | Rs 13,000 – Rs 16,000 | Yes |
| Heritage Swiss Cottage | Traditional design, premium finish, priority location | Rs 18,000 – Rs 22,000 | Yes |
Notes on the table above: Prices vary based on the date of stay. Full-moon nights and weekends attract a premium of 20 to 30 percent over standard rates. Single occupancy carries a supplement charge. Children below five years generally stay free; children between five and twelve years are charged at a reduced rate.
When you book through the official tent city, your package typically covers the following:
Accommodation for the number of nights booked.
Not included in the standard package: Jeep safari to the Rann. Travel between Bhuj and the tent city. Alcohol and personal expenses. Adventure activity add-ons like ATV rides or camel cart rides.
You have two main options to book your stay.
Go to the official Gujarat Tourism website and look for the Rann Utsav section. You can check real-time availability, choose your tent category, pick your dates, and pay online. You will receive a booking confirmation by email and SMS.
This is the most straightforward route. The official portal accepts credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and net banking.
We at Adhvanta Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. offer tent city bookings in the Rann of Kutch and make the process simple for you. You do not need to navigate multiple portals or figure out availability on your own.
You can fill out the enquiry form on our website and one of our agents will call you back to confirm availability, walk you through the tent categories, and complete your booking.
Prefer to talk directly? Call us at 011-408-44995 and we will get your dates locked in right away.
We handle group bookings, family trips, and corporate getaways. If you need transport from Bhuj or Ahmedabad bundled with your tent stay, just let us know when you speak to our agent and we will arrange it as part of your package.
Book at least four to six weeks in advance if you are targeting a full-moon date. These nights sell out quickly and prices are highest during those windows.
Carry a printed or digital copy of your confirmation. The camp entry point checks booking references before allowing vehicles inside the tent city.
