Rann Utsav is a seasonal festival held on the salt flats near Dhordo village in Kutch, Gujarat. It runs from roughly November to February each year, turning the White Rann into a tented township with folk performances, craft markets, desert activities and moonlit views of the salt.
Gujarat Tourism organises the festival and sets the season dates. Around the official Tent City, private operators run their own luxury camps on the same stretch of desert — which is where The White Salt Tent by Adhvanta sits, at Dhordo Cross Road on Khavda Road.
The White Rann itself is the reason people come. It is a dry salt marsh that turns bright white in winter, and on full moon nights the salt reflects the moonlight until the horizon disappears. Those dates sell out first, which is why the tariff below prices them separately.
The White Salt Tent City is managed by Adhvanta Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., in luxury camping since 2016. We have planned and operated camps at Jal Mahotsav, Jheel Mahotsav, Nashik Kumbh and the Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj in 2019 and 2025.
Rates are for The White Salt Tent by Adhvanta at Dhordo and include accommodation, meals, sightseeing and Bhuj station transfers as per the itinerary below. Rates for the official Gujarat Tourism Tent City are set separately by the state and are not shown here.

Evenings at camp run a live cultural programme — Kutchi folk music, Garba and Dandiya, Bhavai theatre, puppetry and craft demonstrations. It is included in the package.
Through the day you can walk out onto the White Rann, ride a camel across the salt, take a jeep into the Rann, shop Kutch embroidery and Rogan art at the craft market, or drive out to Kalo Dungar for the view over the marsh.
There is no rail or air link to Dhordo itself. Everyone arrives by road from Bhuj, and our transfers run from Bhuj Railway Station on fixed timings.
Bhuj is the railhead, about 85 km from Dhordo. Our AC transfer picks up at 10:00 am and drops back at 9:30 am on the day of departure.
Package from BhujBhuj Airport (BHJ) has daily flights from Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Kandla and Ahmedabad are the fallback airports in bad weather.

The season usually opens in early to mid-November and closes in late February, covering roughly 100 nights. Gujarat Tourism confirms the exact opening and closing dates before each season. Our camp at Dhordo takes bookings across November 2026 to February 2027.
At The White Salt Tent by Adhvanta, a Deluxe AC tent for a couple starts at ₹11,000 for one night on economy dates and goes up to ₹18,000 on premium dates. Premium AC tents run from ₹12,000 to ₹20,000 for one night. Two-night packages are priced separately. GST is extra at 18%.

Accommodation in your chosen tent, all meals and sightseeing listed in the itinerary, entrance tickets for those sightseeing points, and AC transfers between Bhuj Railway Station and the camp on scheduled timings. Lunch on the day of departure is not included.
Dhordo is about 85 km from Bhuj and about 400 km from Ahmedabad, and is reached by road. Bhuj is the nearest railway station and airport. Our transfer leaves Bhuj Railway Station at 10:00 am and returns from the camp at 9:30 am on departure day.
December and January are the most comfortable months, with cool days and cold nights. Full moon nights are the most dramatic and the first to sell out, so book four to six weeks ahead if you are planning around one.
Yes. Both Deluxe and Premium categories are air-conditioned and come with an attached bathroom, wooden flooring, premium linen and a private sit-out. Premium tents add a separate living area and upgraded interiors.

Cancellation within 7 days of check-in is charged at 100% of the booking amount, within 10 days at 50%, within 15 days at 25%, and more than 15 days before check-in at 15%.
Yes. Day visitors can pay the entry fee at the checkpoint and see the White Rann. Staying overnight is what gets you the evening cultural programme, sunrise on the salt and the full moon after dark, which is the reason most people come.
